Nicely located restaurant, the food was very good and the prices normal. Unfortunately the food wasn't very hot

Every canteen is better ... self-service, poor quality, cold food and high prices ... in summary; Every Bavarian heart bleeds with something like this.

Nice view of hopeless instagrammers who fold themselves in the strangest curves to take that one unique photo (which has already been taken 1 million times). In short, order a beer and laugh yourself completely.

Mostly offering some very standard and only OK quality food for quite high prices. Seems like a touristy place. Views and outside seating are nice though. If you like fish, rather order that because it's locally caught.

Delicious food and local beer!! I had the smoked trout, it was super tasteful.

Humane prices are charged for the location. When the weather is nice, you either have to be lucky to get a free table or you have to wait a moment.

Self-service catering. If you are willing to pay € 5.60 for a slice of bread and three slices of cheese, this is the place for you. We'll be walking past this Saletalm next year and taking our own cheese sandwiches and drinks with us.

Selection of drinks and food for everything being brought by ship is okay. No cell phone network and wifi.

Great foods and drinks! Great location, in the middle obersee and back to the harbor. Price is normal and there is no internet or wifi so only cash!

The ambience was very nice. The prices were reasonable and the food tasted very good. I have a recommendation for everyone who is on the Königssee 👍🏼

The only vegetarian option in the menu was bad. Nothing special about the main dishes. No clear signs on how the self service works or toilet directions.

Great located restaurant with a wonderful view. The restaurant only offers self-service. Nevertheless, I found the staff annoyed (it may be because it is new for everyone regarding Covid-19, but I think that there is a different way to deal with paying customers)

I have no idea how to give this canteen meal more than one star. Not recommendable. Better take some bread with us and sit in the grass by the lake.

So whoever rated this positively really has no claims. Food is the bottom drawer and completely overpriced ... here you can even 'serve' wienerle that only taste like water, because they have been in the water pot all morning. Noodles are pre-cooked and then thrown into hot water again 'to warm up'. Can you imagine what comes out of it. An absolute insult to everyone who has a minimal claim and above all (and I take that personally) for Bavarian cuisine!

The smoked Forelle/trout is a highlight of Saletalm (order in a moderate quantities!) and is very tasty and nutrition valued. This freshwater fish can only be found in a extreme clear, clean glacier waters and Königsee is it‘s natural habitat.

It's a self service place you go to the counters and ask for what you want out of the prepared food, then pay, and take a seat. Since the food is pre made and it's the middle of nowhere, the food is just ok, don't expect any delicacies.

Self service, similar to a cafeteria serving local fish dishes and more. The place is not right beside the lake but you can have a view of the lake. At the time of our visit, I ordered the smoked trout which was surprisingly really good: the fish was not dry yet does not have strong smoky flavour nor too salty, just balanced right. The price was a standard 10€-15€ for food and standard restaurant price for drinks.

Touristnepp very big! Staff unfriendly, prices totally overpriced, quality of food a joke! Were there today and recommend to everyone to take a sandwich! The location is probably what you pay for! But to be honest it does not have to be that way!

Salet Alm This restaurant has not earned more like 1 star. The food is like bad canteen food. Where I ate myself but much better in canteens. The staff is not exactly friendly. I have never eaten so badly in Schönau. Had a schnitzel with potato salad and cream sauce.

It's good to have a cup of hot coffee or hot milk in cold days ~ Although he made my sister's milk into ice cream It's warm inside ~

Theres no better place than this to chill out and taste a freshly smoked 🎏.

Can't miss this place if you're making the short walk from Koenigsee to Obersee. A self-service kind of restaurant, where you go round the back and order and collect what you want. So we didn't need to worry about waiting times and could grab a quick bite here. Cakes were pretty good.

Gasthof on the isthmus between Koenigsee and Obersee. Nice location, nice interior. Self-service restaurant on site. Food Gorkowe: there are basic dishes, nothing tastes particularly good. A curry kernel appeared on the table with heavily fried fries for trgo ketchup and sweet muszyard. She would have done it as a dish for a tired skier. For this was smoked trout with bread. Good trout, from the smokehouse near the church of St. Bartlomiej, one stop by the boat, while annoying people dust it in this pub more than two euros more than in the pub next to the smokehouse :-(
